First Day in London

The first day we were in London we went to see the London Eye, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abby, the National Gallery, Buckingham Palace, Hamleys toy shop, Liberties, and the British Museum. We took the tube from our apartment to the London eye which is next to Big Ben. We didn't go up the London Eye because it was too foggy but we took lots of photos of Big Ben. The bells rang every 1/2 hour and sounded like church bells. Then we went to Westminster Abby and saw where Prince William and Kate got married. We were cold so we went to the National Gallery to warm up. We saw the Sunflowers by Vincent Van Gough and lots other paintings. After that we walked through saint James's Park to Buckingham Palace. On the way, we saw the inspection of the horse guards but didn't see any squirrels. I caught a glimpse of Buckingham Palace. Yay, we were finally there. It had a gold statue in the middle of a water fountain and guards out front. We continued our journey to Hamleys Toy Shop where there were 7 floors of magnificent toys. I was in heaven. After Hamleys we went to the British museum and saw the Egyptian mummies and Roman statues. My favourite part was the mummies. What an awesome day.
