Today we went for a drive around the island and stopped at a windmill and Roman Villa. The windmill was once used to grind wheat into flour. We saw the grinding stones and tools used by the people who use to work there. The Roman Villa was built almost 2000 years ago. They had awesome mosaics on the floor, an indoor pool and underfloor heating. I did a rubbing of an old Roman coin. Luckily it was under cover as it keeps raining. Nana and Grandad then took us to lunch at the Hare and Hounds.

The windmill looks really cool Caitlin. It very interesting how it turns wheat into flour. Those mosaics are also very cool! Lauren
ReplyDeleteIt's sounds very interesting and I see you have a lot of knowledge. By your clothing it's obviously pretty cold! Wish I was there! Laura
I'm so glad you're getting to see lots of cool museums! And I love the photos! You're not missing any sunshine here, it was quite cold today! Krishna
